Frequently Asked Questions

When wheels fall short, Bobcat track loaders step up. These machines are engineered for real-world jobs that demand reliable power, smarter handling, and better performance in unpredictable conditions.

Power and Lift

  • Breakout force that handles digging, grading, and heavy lifting
  • Hydraulic systems designed for demanding tools
  • Rated operating capacities up to 3,800 lbs

Job Site Control

  • Tracks spread out the machine’s weight to reduce pressure and surface damage
  • Excellent grip on loose or uneven ground
  • Balanced handling when carrying heavy loads or working on slopes

Operator Comfort

  • Quiet, sealed cab options keep out noise and dust
  • Heating and air conditioning built for all-season use
  • Easy-to-use controls that reduce fatigue and boost productivity

These loaders are built for tough jobs. You’ll get better performance and a better experience behind the controls of a Bobcat compact track loader.

They might look similar, but they behave very differently. Skid-steer loaders run on wheels, and they are ideal for solid ground like pavement, gravel, or dry dirt. Compact track loaders, with their rubber tracks, perform best where the ground gets messy (think red clay, wet grass, soft soil, or hillside work).

Tracks offer more traction and lower ground pressure, which means you’ll tear up less turf and stay productive even in challenging weather.

You can do more than you might think. These machines are a favorite for:

  • Moving and spreading gravel or topsoil
  • Clearing brush, trees, or overgrowth
  • Grading driveways and lots
  • Digging and prepping for hardscaping
  • Transporting materials like pallets, mulch, or debris
  • Smoothing out uneven areas or slopes
  • Installing fencing, trenching, or drainage systems

You’ll see Bobcat compact track loaders on landscaping jobs, construction job sites, and farms. They’re also a great fit for property owners who need year-round capabilities without buying multiple machines. Use it in the spring for lawn prep, summer for hauling and digging, and fall for clearing and grading. One machine. Dozens of jobs.

The Bob-Tach™ system makes switching tools quick and easy. You don’t need a separate machine for each task. You just need the right attachment.

Some of our best-selling options include:

  • Buckets (general-purpose, grading)
  • Augers for post-hole digging and footings
  • Grapples for demolition or brush removal

Need help choosing the right setup? We’ll match attachments to your loader model and job needs.

It depends on the work.

If you need to work in tight spaces, a small-frame loader like the T450 gets the job done without taking up too much space. But, if your job site requires serious lift capacity, speed, and strength, the T66 or T770 can handle it. They are proven mid-frame and large-frame machines.

Not sure what fits your property, workflow, or crew size? Let us help you compare options so that we can find the one that works best for you.
